We are really pleased to have our work recognised by the Roses Design Awards who have nominated two of our pieces of work Democracy (pictured above) and Pinhole for their 2010 awards.

We will be attending the award ceremony in Manchester in October to discover if we will be taking home silverware from these prestigious awards.

Sumo picked up two Roses Design Awards this year, both for the New Writing North Annual Review.

We have being working with New Writing North for nearly ten years and the collaboration has led to over twenty awards, which is a real tribute to great relationship we have with their team.

Over the past few years we have been pretty successful in design awards. We see them as a pat-on-the-back from our peers, a mark of quality that can help clients choose us, and a good night out for our team.

Over the past two weeks we’ve been down to Manchester for two sets of awards. At the North of England design lunch, where agencies across the North are ranked by turnover, a peer poll and a client poll, we were really pleased to come second overall, especially as this was largely down to excellent feedback in the client poll in everything from creativity through to client service.

The second trip down to Manchester was for the Fresh Design & Advertising Awards, where we picked up three gold and two silver awards for our design work. Both awards were a great chance to catch up with people we know in Manchester, and to remind the rest of the country of the quality of work being produced in the North East.
