Sumo picked up two Roses Design Awards this year, both for the New Writing North Annual Review.
We have being working with New Writing North for nearly ten years and the collaboration has led to over twenty awards, which is a real tribute to great relationship we have with their team.

Each talk will relate to how social media is changing arts marketing, Jim has previously talked about this subject at conferences across Europe.
Last week Sumo co-hosted MuseumNext with leading American museum expert Nina Simon. The two day event brought together over seventy museum professionals from across Europe and America to workshop wild ideas around the theme of building a more participatory museum experience.
MuseumNext was a great opportunity for Sumo to help shape the future of museums. The event was a great success and we hope that it will be the first of many.

As well as producing the exhibition Democracy, Sumo have also designed a 160 page book featuring the 82 pieces of work from 51 artists. The book which is published by Fleuron Publishing can be purchased from all good design bookstores and from the Democracy website.
Last night was the opening of Democracy at the Square Yard Gallery, over 150 designers, artists students and people who just wanted free beer turned up to get a first glimpse of our crowd sourced exhibition.
We got a few funny looks today as we carried a postbox to the Square Yard Gallery to take it’s place in our Democracy exhibition, which opens next week.
